Nearly four years ago, not long after moving back to Dallas from Cincinnati, we were exploring the Ronald Kirk Bridge when I struck up a conversation with a woman who was watching a child about the same age as mine. She told me there was art work on the trail down below, but I never knew where it was — until today!
We have been trying to access this park through the entrance off the Sylvan Avenue Bridge, but it has been closed for at least 2 weeks. Thankfully my partner, who is an avid bike rider, accompanied us and was able to guide us there from a different starting point. We entered the Trinity Skyline Trail at Canada Dr. and Bataan St.
It was quite a long walk to get to Trammell Crow Park, but it was a beautiful day and the birds were out, including at least a dozen egrets. We also saw horseshoe prints as well so many other bird prints, too! But what we really came to see were five cows.
A Long Road Home: Lucy Margaret, Ruth, Elsa, Annette, 1985 by Harold Clayton is a marble installation and was the perfect destination for a 5-year-old boy.
