There isn’t too much information out there on this trail, but we went for a drive anyway to check it out. We started at Wonderview Park. As we pulled up, there were two SUVs that were driving down the sidewalk to the basketball court.
We walked past the large group and continued down the trail. I wasn’t really sure exactly where we were going, we just decided to follow the path. This is another trail that incorporates power lines, but that is soon left behind for a covered, paved trail.
Once you emerge from the shaded area, there are some pretty large fields on the left, which I imagine are used by the JC Phelps Recreation Center, located just up ahead. This is also the first time I have seen J. P. Starks Math, Science and Technology Vanguard school.
Once we got to the trail behind the rec center, we weren’t quite sure where to go. We got all the way to a bridge to no where and turned around and headed back to the car.
The path under then shaded area is a little bumpy. I wouldn’t suggest a scooter/bike for a child, but a stroller might be OK, perhaps slightly annoying for some kids.
Length: About 2 miles roundtrip, trail map.
